Osun Rerun Election: Police Arrest 16 Suspected Fake Election Observers


Osun state Police Command has arrested sixteen suspected fake election observers in the ongoing governorship election rerun in Osun state.

We learnt that the all-male suspects were caught at Orolu in possession of customised INEC Observer tags, face caps, jackets and PDP membership cards.

According to the statement by Police PRO, Folashade Odoro, the paraded suspects include a PDP House of representatives aspirant in Orolu Federal Constituency, Moshood Adejare and other PDP members.

The Police also debunked reports that some accredited INEC Observers were arrested or denied access to polling units.

Meanwhile, another man perceived to be obstructing the voting process at a polling unit in Osogbo, the Osun State capital have been arrested. He was arrested at polling unit 5, Ataoje E in Osogbo.
